The state of cold plunge in Miami

The findings

• Most Miami studios do not publish their plunge temperature. Of the 19 studios with a cold plunge, 2 state an operating temperature anywhere on their own website or booking page; 17 do not. The published figures span 37°F to 55°F — a range wide enough that "cold plunge" describes quite different experiences depending on where you book.
• 9 of 26 publish a single-visit price. That is a drop-in or day-pass rate you can find without starting a booking; the rest sell memberships, price recovery as part of a treatment, or publish nothing at all.
• Private suite or shared floor is the biggest decision, and 24 of 26 do not say which. 1 sell a private room containing both the sauna and the plunge, and 1 run a shared floor on an admission. It is the single biggest determinant of what a session feels like, and it is almost never stated in listings elsewhere.
• 17 of 26 can actually do contrast therapy — that is, they have both cold immersion and a heat source on the same site, which is what the term requires and what a studio offering only infrared saunas cannot provide.

How this was compiled

Every figure comes from a studio's own website, booking platform, or published FAQ, read directly and dated. Nothing is taken from review sites, aggregators, or search summaries, and no figure is carried across locations of the same brand. Where a studio publishes nothing, it is counted as unpublished rather than estimated — which is why the denominators above are stated alongside every number.
